Anno Question

I was jw if its ok to remove and anno the silver velocity adjuster thing on an xvalve. O yeah, i have another question. What do you think would be best to put on the X on an xvalve to make it black. I cant think of anything besides like permanent marker but i think thatd rub off pretty quick. Thanks

Ok, i found out a shapie marker works but i still need to know about the anno thing.

The velocity adjuster is stainless steel, you can't anno it.

You 'could' powdercoat it in which case it likely won't fit in teh valve anymore due to the build up of material required during PC.

So.....

Stick with silver or the sharpie. :)

Thanks, i didnt know if it was aluminum or not. I guess ill have to stick with the sharpie lol. Umm, is it ok for me to take the velocity adjuster out and put it back on or is there stuff i have to be carefull with. Ive never taken one off so i dont really know.

No,not really. It has an o-ring on it, just put a drop of oil on the o-ring itself so it doesn't bind while screwing it back in and you should be fine.
