    Questions About Automag

    Hello,

Ive been thinking about purchasing an Automag and had a few questions first, Right now i have a 98c and i like it it is just that i want to get a new gun soon, for christmas im going to get a Nitro set up, I know it say there is an integrated Regulator in the Automag, do i still need to buy a Reg for the Automag or no? Can i just run straight nitro? What is the best opporating pressure for the Automag?

I cant find an Automag with everything on it, the only ones i can find are just the body, no barrel or bottom line/vertical bottle. The drop i have now has an ASA on it so all i need to get is a barrel, What is the best barrel to use with an Automag? Lastly, Ive heard you cant run Co2 on an Automag, what if it is anti-siphoned? would it work then?

you will not need a reg if you are running compressed air. the tank already has a reg, along w/ the reg in the valve.

if you look around here on AO, you're guarenteed to find a complete mag.

there isn't really a 'best' barrel. a lot of it is paint to barrel match. find out what pant your field or store carries, and find a barrel chart to match that. i believe there is one on pbnation.com

i have ran an old mag on c02, but needed a reg.
    anti-siphon would be better

of course, i could be wrong in a few places, so give it a little while.
i know someone will come up with more information.

    oh ya..
    welcome to AO!!
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves. 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

      First, welcome to AO.

Now, you can run the nitro right to the automag, dont need a regulator. You should run the mag at about 750-850psi, get a HPR preset tank.

Now, you can buy a ULE RT, straight from AGD, with a barrel, right from the AGD online store. You can use any barrel on a mag, just match the bore size to paint size and you will be fine.

You can run c02 to an automag classic valve, yes it will work with an anti-siphoned tank. You cannot run c02 to an Xvalve, or RT valve, or Emag valve, all them require nitro to use, if you use c02 you will damage the valve.

with a barrel, right from the AGD online store. You can use any (AutoCocker threaded) barrel on (ULE) mag, just match the bore size to paint size and you will be fine.
If not a ULE body then you'll need a twist lock barrel.

            High Pressure Regulator.

Or if you can find a good adjustable for cheap go for that. You definately want a high pressure tank reg. though.

HPR means High Pressure Regulator, all HPR tanks are preset at etheir 800-850psi.

LPR means Low Pressure Regulator, those are preset at 400psi, I believe.

Mags operate at about 800psi, so a HPR tank is your best bet. Now, if you can find a nice 68/3000psi AGD flateline tank, that would be great, because of could up the input pressure anywhere from 0-1000psi, so if you ever got a low pressure gun, there would be no need for a new tank.

Have fun with the mag, great guns, very reliable, will never let you down.
