Check for small leaks around the valve, down the barrel, near your ASA.

Was it like 3500 PSI? Because most places fill HPA tanks way too fast and accordingly, they lose a lottttt of pressure before you even take one shot. At the proshop nearest my house, I usually end up losing about 600-800 PSI because the people are stupid.

            no thats not normal.
so filled to 3000, you only getting 45 shots?

            mags should get roughly
10 shots per cubuc inch @3000psi
            15 shots per ci @4500

MAGS ARENT GAS HOGS! THEY JUST ARENT THE MOST EFFICIENT GUNS OUT THERE! I hate it when people call mags gas hogs just because they dont have the same efficiency as cockers and angels.

It is normal, at least it is in my point of view. My neighbor and i both have mags. I have a 68/3k and he has a 88/3k tank. When our proshop fills it, it reads 3000 psi in the gauge but after a few shots it drops almost immediately to 2200 psi. I still get the normal amount of shots from the tank (it stays at 2000 psi for a pretty long time) but the gas seems to always settle at 2200 psi right away. I know there isnt any leaks in my tank or my neigbor's tank so I think it is somewhat normal

that always seemed to happen on my old mags i'd get the 4000psi fill after about 20-30 shots it was down to 3000 but then it just held steady there for a long time.

No, they're gas hogs. They're below average efficiency... therefore, gas hogs.

Actualy, they are not gas hogs, they are not most efficient of guns, but they do have about average efficiency!!
Now, back to the topic: Were you dry firing?? And are you sure of the number of shots?? And check for leaks again!!!

I get 1300+ shots out of my 68/4500!! And that is with th medium spring on LX!!! What I have found is that paint to barrel match is critical for optimum efficiency on 'mags!!!
