    HP tank on a Viking?

    Hey,
I know there's a few of you guys here who also own Vikings, so I have a question. Is it OK to run a high pressure preset on a Viking?

    Yes.

A lot of people have HPA tanks. I actually am getting a Crossfire HPA.

I wasn't talking about HPA tanks in general. I am talking about low pressure vs. high pressure presets on a Viking.

Yup, since most viks/excals come with the sidewinder reg, running a HP tank and then regulating the pressure down isn't a problem.

Check out pbnation.com. There's some threads about it there...I believe it's also mentioned on akalmp's site. There is some sort of benefit for running a low tank, but I can't tell you what it is because I was merely skimming the info. You'll probably find that whatever it is, it probably wouldn't outweigh using a high tank if you have other markers for which you need HP.

I meant HP, not HPA (habit to type).

I know a ton of people who use both HP and LP on their vikings. Most people seem to grab HP tanks casue they're more universal with backup markers/etc.

I myself have used a HP screw in, an angel air, and a flatline.

I've used nothing but HP tanks with my Vikings and my Excal. I've never had any problem

It's fine. That's what the sidewinder is there for.
