    real funny paintball story...

today i was at my feild just playin alittle bit(i only played like 4 or 5 games before i had to go to work) and i was there with my mag(ule body, xvalve, intell, and a forgrip) when this 13 or 14 year old kid with an empire timmy asked me what kind of gun i had....i told him i have a timmy eater...he repiles with ive never heard of that timmy, it must be a newer model. then he says."thats the smallest timmy ive ever seen"...this kid thought i ment Eater Timmy.....wow

anyway i bunkered him twice in later games(once when he was behind a bunker with someone else i got both of them)...i guess you can kinda say i owned him

i cant beleive he actually beleived you! its pretty funny when newbs have high end guns, and know nothing about them. it sounds like he just got into the sport and asked someone what the best gun was, and then bought a timmy. hes probably sponsored... by his parents!! he sounds like the stereotypical pbner 13 year old. in fact, hes probably already posting there.

i think it was more of a timmy joke. if someone walked up to me i might kinda look at his timmy to see what kind it is, then if the kid said"its the latest one". i would be like "its the first of the month already?" lol

                  Congratulations, your all retards.

Mags are relatively unknown, and the guy simply didnt know what it was. Why wouldnt he believe him? Oh ok, always assume your being lied to.

Oh ya, he must be a spoiled no game kid because he has an empire timmy. You know how many times ive been mowed by kids younger than me? Seriously people... why dont you quit being jerks because you are jealous.

he shouldnt beleive him because of the design of the gun. all timmies are basically the same design, just with different milling/boards. timmies have double stacked tubes, mags have one tube. there are other things about the looks that easily set mags apart from timmies. its obvious that this kid did not look around at markers at all, and simply bought the first thing that was recomended to him. and no, im not jealous. id rather have my mag or even a spyder and know about it than have a high end gun but not know anything about it.

The point was that it doesnt make him an idiot/spoiled kid.

As for you rather having a subpar gun and not knowing of its function, thats cool. I Got a teammate with a timmy who literally knows NOTHING about it, other than how to MAKE it work... he bought it himself, and can freakin mow faces.

Guns don't have to operate alike to have the same name. Look at the 03 shocker. Still called the shocker, although it doesn't look like the old shockers, or work like the old shockers. When you have a name as succesful as the timmy name is, they'd keep with the name, it would be almost gaurenteed to sell a bunch just from pre-orders.

There is that, but do you think the kid looked *inside* the gun to see that it was different?

Really? How so? Are you telling me the Empire Timmys are bad guns? Why is it so "obvious" that he didn't read around to notice that Empire Timmies are awesome guns before he bought it? I'm not seeing to much stuff I agree with in your post...

Okay you guys are idiots you know that your all newbs to someone just because you know about your guns doesnt mean much.

I have an Angel LCD and dont know the first thing about it. But when Im on the field you wouldnt know that. This kid could have earned money for the gun. He could of gotten it from a sibiling or he could be rich but that doesnt mean hes some rich brat that gets anything that he wants.

                            Your all newbs to someone

of course id take the Timmy! but the point was, id at least invest the time to learn about it.

good point. but, correct me if im wrong, that is the only example of the same name being applied to different designs. also, some may disagree with me on this, but i think that the name recognition applies to bob long, not just the intimidator lineup. if bob long canceled the intimidator lineup and developed a completely different marker and used a different name, i think it would sell just as well as it would if he called it the new intimidator.

you misread my post. i said other things about the looks, not besides the looks. of course he wouldnt look inside the gun, unless danoxide for some reason took it apart. timmys generally have complex milling and flow more, mags have a serious, practical look (excluding deadlywind bodies, of course). timmys often have fades stock, and have different looking frames.

true, timmys are great guns, im not saying that he made a bad choice in guns. but if he had read around, he would have seen all the guns in the timmy lineup and what they looked like. the only major difference between timmys is the milling and ano job. he should have been sceptical when someone told him that a mag was a timmy, since mags have an entirely different look, they have only one tube, and they have no external moving parts.
