AO NorCal after action report 8/28/04

Woot look and sound like yall had a good chunk of fun. Im bummed, i missed out on the festivities. From what i gather the heat was ratehr oppressive as per usual. But its cool, cause AO days defeat weather.

Anyhow its good we picked up some more folks to roll with the AO crew. I hope to see yallz the next time around. God help me i will not miss the next one.

I sure hope you make it, we're about to put you on the "Inactive" rolls with Yagr and SPS16

Heat actually wasnt bad, for me at least. I think dealing with 90 degree weather in Hawaii showed me what truly oppressive heat was like. 105 in Modesto was rather nice by comparison. Sure took the wind out of Z-man's sails though...the wimp.

MY post game thoughts:

YAYS!
-Good people, good fun
-Extreme has cemented its place as being THE BEST field that we have played at. They treat us right, everytime.
-Playing the snake and 50 all day. Wheeee!
-Watching Padiwack rocking the field. Get down with your bad Q-loaded self!
-Watching Zak hobble around the field. Run to the 50, AGAIN!
-Decisively winning the "Your momma" fest, AGAIN!
-04 Excalibur... nuff said
-Chevys! This is almost sacrilage, but I usually dont like their food. But those quesadillas were good eating. Mmmmmmm.
-Bunkering someone

BLAHS
-Getting the poop shot out of me in the snake and at the 50
-Watching all the guns going down all day long. *cough*AKArules*cough*
-Getting the poop shot out of me by Toolfan
-Last game, playing the snake, then finding out there is a hornets nest in the pipes there
-Finding out that hornets dont like having their nest shot by paintballs
-All the AO regulars that werent there: Zack, Carbon, Mike, Yagr, we missed you all
-The exploding Q-pods. Handling them isnt rocket science...or is it?
-Finding out the guy I bunkered had 2 buddies with him. Whooops...ouch.


And another great AO day was had by all. Now, where the vid???? ANd I heard the bunker move DID NOT make it on film? WTF?

LOL. The funny thing is, I don't think you intended to use him as a shield. I think he threw himself back when I came around, and it just kind of worked out nicely for you. Correct me if Im wrong.

That was a great moment, I wish it had been on tape. I didn't see Toolfan shooting at me, yet I felt the impacts (ow) on my thigh, and I was like "WTF?!?!?"

Steelrat, haha sadly the bunkering of Big Weapons was not caught on tape. The guy who was videotaping at the moment caught you right before and right after the bunker. And the guy was O_o, HE TOOK THE CAMERA WITHOUT MY KNOWING . However, I did catch a few nice shots of you at the snake

Yeah, Zak told me about the snake, im looking forward to seeing that. Last time someone took pics of me playing the snake, it looked like I was having a seizure. Im hoping this time it looked a bit better.

I fixed my Dallara mag btw, it's reactive and fast now, all is good!

Just FYI, Zak is hard at work on the video(s), but his internet connection is kaput right now, so he cannot post anything about it. After talking with him about it, it sounds like happy took some awesome footage, and its going to make for great video.

Heh, o well, I spent a little time working on the video. It's kinda of . . . out of place everywhere because my video editing program was glitching and the music kept moving all over the place. I just ended up throwing a bunch of clips in, possibly some repeats since I started over

Oh well, can't wait to see Zak's video
