Matchstik barrels?

I've been looking at barrel kits, and the MacDev Matchstik has caught my eye since it has 4 backs and 12", 14", and 16" tips all for about $140.

Does anyone on here use this kit? How quiet is it? I don't want something that will make my gun sound like a cannon.

I've torn between this and building a CP kit that ends up to be about the same price.

I recently got to use a matchstik barrel and it was one of the most accurate and quiet barrels I've ever used. I would definitely get the matchstik kit over the CP kit.

a teammate of mine has the matchstik set and he absolutely loves it. its nice and light from what i noticed, i didnt notice it to be loud or quiet so its probably average. as far as performance goes its really great. i havent used it extensively, but i wouldnt hesitate getting one for myself. go for it.

Ive got the older version with 3 backs, 2 tips. But i love it. My favorite barrel. Its light because its all alm. Its pretty quite. i would recomend it to anyone. Deffinatly worth the 140

Cool, i'll probably get it, I love CP barrels as well, but the selection of bore sizes for the CP stuff is a little lacking.

I can attest that the MatchStik is definately one of the greatest barrel kits you can buy. I had the 5 piece set with my Cyborg and it was by far the most accurate barrel I've ever shot. I do believe I like it more than the CP kit that i'm using now and swear by as well.

Can't go wrong with the MatchStik. I have yet to see ANYONE say anything bad about it.

I shoot a Kaner, but I know quite a few people with a Matchstick, and they love them

They are like the underground barrels. A lot of ppl on AO have them but where can you get them.
