Looking for a New Automag Body Design... Winner Will Recieve their Own Custom Body

wierd idea

Anyone thought of milling "windows" into the side of the main body and then patching them up with a sturdy /transparent material. (i.e. plxiglass, resin, epoxy...) so that you can see the bolt action like many other guns. its just purly cosmetic but if you could get it to work it would be pretty darn cool.

What's with the trolling? It's been said over and over that this kind of project takes time to see through. How has CM been running away? He was keeping us updated as things were happening; unfortunately, things weren't happening quick enough to keep everybody happy, apparently.

Echo, where are you coming from, ClassicMagger never said it was going to be a Guaranteed project, right now he is doing CAD renderings of the bodies and asking various shops on prices ETC. If you have a boatload of money, do it yourself, otherwise shaddup!

As opposed to everyone else, who can make a CAD program from a drawing in Paint, find someone to do the work, acquire the raw materials, and get the body milled and finally annodized in a week or two? Give him some time, Kevin will get this done some time. There are other things that he has to do as well, he's not a full time machinist.

AO as a Whole:

Hey:

Running away, eih, haven't ever heard that before... Seems like I am still around Echo. But I will make you a deal so that you can see that I haven't run away. As YOU stated.

1. Find me a capable machinist. (This means 4th Axis Milling).

2. Make sure that they are able to ALL of the bodies needed for the winner, myself, and AO (who I was doing this for) in a timely manner. Meaning within your time frame that you expect things to be done in and that they are not backed up on other projects so they can have mine done as soon as possible.

3. Affordable. I can find the top two easily, except for the price. The machinist must be able to do a small run of no more than 25-50, accept my CAD work without having to modify it (which will cost extra by the way) for under 250 USD per unit including the cost of the Sluggo Body, AGD Rail, Steel Ring, C-Clip, Feedneck, and machining of both the rail and body.

4. Cheap enough that I can do a run of these and offer them to AO at a reasonable price.

5. Time. Pay me to do the bodies in this time frame and get them done, outside of my regular job, family life, and putting food on the table for my family.

6. Prototypes make sure the bodies come out as planned so I am not screwed out of several thousand dollars.

7. Find a polisher and anodizer for this project as well. Who meets the above qualifications.

8. I know that I am leaving things out, so just all of the other misc. small things that are needed to be done with a project like this, you need to find and get all of those things done for me.

I am going to give you a time frame of two weeks to do this, which should be very capable for someone as talented as you. Please E-Mail me with the results at [email protected] Don't run away from this project, okay? I'd hate for you to be a hypocrite, and not do it.

I GUARANTEE YOU, AO AS A WHOLE. WHEN ECHO419 GETS ME THE ABOVE. THE BODY AND RAIL COMBOS WILL BE OUT IN ONE MONTH.

AO: The project is still being worked on. Like I said in previous posts, this is an ongoing project. Not forgotten. There have been several snags hit on the road to the final project. Right now it is not looking good. I would not be expecting these bodies soon or possiblly ever. But this all depends on my new found saint Echo419.
