Blow back guns ARE one of the fastest cycling guns period.

However........

An electronic spyder is not going to be faster than most high end elecros due to the software they use,trigger set up and lack of adjustments,stock micro switch and BPS cap that comes standard on the typical spyder.

Therfore your friend is incorrect.

Sure, blowback CAN be faster the electropneumatic, but that doesn't mean the Pilot is faster then an Angel because the board on the Pilot only allows 13 bps, and if I remember corectly the Angel can shoot around 30. Thats a 27 bps diff.

And is it just me or if the blowback design has so much potential why aren't companys coming out with triggers that allow you to shoot so much faster? Because their are downsides, but I don't really want to talk about that. Make a new thread.




And about your friend, just shut him up by playing a 1 vs 1 on him a couple times, and make sure you beat him.

Tru flip - the viking is mine, I was just testing the waters so to speak with the guy and the dalara. However, ya, I would bet a spyder could physically go faster than my 04 viking. Just like it would blow your Angel away under conditions testing the limits of the marker. Dont make me start insulting your intelligence with mindless personal jabs.

The spyder will runaway to a faster CPS than your angel can ever hope to reach. However, it'll chop each and every ball loaded into it trying...

Of course your angel can shoot faster than a spyder. You've got COPS/sensi/eyes, the pilot doesn't. Your gun will delay shots until there's a ball to fire, the spyder will chop right through the balls.

Now, he could be saying he can rock the trigger faster than you can. That might be true, if you were both using the same marker. A capped spyder vs an angel loses that race, though.


If your friend has only been playing paintball for a few months, then he's likely to still be in his n00b phase. He'll grow out of it someday. In the meantime, you should set him in front of a chrono that can display BPS rates. Rip on it with your angel, then have him take a go at it. It'll shut him up for a while, at least.

Its been a while since I've shot a blowback marker but dont they have some decent kick to them compared to the higher end markers. Correct me if im wrong but I think thats why companies arent investing a lot of money into it.

Its not opinion... its fact. A spyder cycles faster than everything.

Also fact: My viking fires faster than your angel. I take it your viking didnt have WAS or eyes?
