        I own both a PT professionnal (http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/800/) and a Sidekick (http://www.paintballstuff.com/index.html).

Both are quite reliable and can get about 25 rounds out of a 12gr.

The Sidekick is quite smaller being single stack, the 12gr goes into the grip.

I use the PT professionnal as a main marker in handgun games only and my
Sidekick as a backup for a few quick shot when I play with my Phantom (pump)

I also like to go and bunker people with them in rec games.

They will NEVER replace my Tac One but they make a nice addition/change of pace to the game.

Can you make a guess at the availibility of the pt and sidekick are they commonplace, rare, or next to impossible to find.

from what ive heard the PT's are not very good. ive heard good things about the zeus' and pgp's. but if you can afford it, id definately go for a sydarm. i probably would use it in bushball games, it'd be pretty fun. anyways, pistols are cool

Both of them seem to be discontinued (or replaced by newer model for the PT)

I would check out the Armotech Zeus G1 or G2 depending on your budget. They have a lot of options.

www.armotech.net ( beware, there are copies out there and they are NOT as well made)

They are reliable and well made. A few of my friends own them and they are really nice and available used or new.

Personnally, I would never buy a PT Extreme. They are well known for having problems.

Of course, the Sydarm would be the perfect choice.(but the price....outch!)

How can you tell the differance between the real Zues' and the copies?

i used to have a pt extreme. it was the biggest peice of trash ever. max fps was around 210, and it was insanely inaccurate with 4 or 5 kinds of paint- marbs, diablo, etc. had a little kick, it was huge for a pistol, and its weight made it hard to hold it at arms length for too long. its not even worth it in a scenario game. what a peice of crap. my eyes start to burn when i think about the 100 bucks i wasted on it. acid will come out my butt and everything i touch will erupt in flame.
Yummy yummy yummy, I've got fun in my tummy.

There were Zeus made by armotech .COM who HAD to change their name to ARIAKON.

They copied almost everything from the real armotech but with less quality. (IMO)

I agreee about the PT Extreme. It's a piece of *&?&%?%&?%$

You can get a brand new PGP for well under $100, if you don't mind pumpin'. Solid as a rock!

I have 2 Core ZX pistols (same thing as the Zeus). I didn't like the CO2 changer on it, so I added CCI quick changers. I also replaced the stock valve springs with Spyder valve springs and guides because the stock springs tended to kink and cause slow leaks.

If you take your time with the shots you can get a little over 20 shots (with the last few dropping off). The faster you shoot, the quicker your efficiency drops off. Accuracy is better then most people expect. It's a stacked tube blow-back, and is about as reliable as such (requires about as much upkeep as a Spyder).

I paid $120 for each Core, which isn't bad considering it's ready to go right out of the box (all you need is paint and 12g's) The Cores are known for shotting hot, and I had to cut 6 loops of the mainspring to get below 300fps. This has alot to do with people's complaints about poor gas efficiency.

As far as the _best_ PB pistol, everyone here will say Sydarm. If you have that much cash to blow on a pistol you might want to look at the Palmer Squall (which everyone else says is the best PB pistol). http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/catalog/semiautos.htm
