And thanks for the Mom reference. That was the defining moment of your argument. I was astounded by your sheer brilliance and deductive reasoning. I bow to your superior logic skills.

I really look forward to the day when I can find a thread that doesn't drop to the level of bringing in someones mom.

As for back on topic.... I don't think I'd go for either a timmy or a clone. After trying out a Timmy and a bumch of others, I'm hooked on the AKA and ICD families.

Sys X has been hypin' this for a few months now. If it performs as stated I think it should be a hit considering it costs less than a new Timmy and functions the same.

We'll just wait and see I guess

I personally have no issue with either the NME or the Nemesis as long as they perform well enough for their price. Same goes for Expensive name brand markers. Some of the new timmies are just too much money IMO since they perform no better than a standard non Team named timmy.
                  etc.

But the net effect of their undercutting the prices results in cheaper prices overall for the end users. It certainly sucks for the PB store owners but it has been nothing short of a bonus for the players to be able to buy things cheaper.

Now System-X on the other just wants to sell knocked-off products at a cheaper price. But lo and behold, the quality of their products sucks the sweat off a dead man's............you get the picture.

NOW between the two, who benefits the sport and the players more?
Are you saying Gino isn't a Nazi? Have you looked at a National dealer price list? Who was the first to sign an agreement with SP after they made their first patent claim?

Do you think Smart Parts isn't using its royalties to subsidize their income and undercut it's competition?

Wouldn't you agree that cost is the biggest constraint on the growth of paintball?

This Gun is not new to System X.

                      WOW! I wonder how this one came arcorss here? Well back at this years NPPl Super 7 in Tampa the System X crew recurited us to send out free junk. And well we sent out posters of the NME a "new gun design"?!?! but any way it I never saw it forsale after that. I do check around on lots of websites alot. After the show I obvisouly found nothing. This gun is ancient tech to me. {maybe they discontinued it becuase none sold at the unvailing in Tampa IDK?}

P.S. We only did it to get free gear n guns which we did get.

just for the sake of correctness of terms, he wasn't using deductive reasoning, he was just stating his opinion of the relative cost to value ratios of the NME and your mom.

Have direct knockoff's eevr sold better than the originals? I see this kind of stuff every day in this sport, and I can't think of a time that it was ever successful.

ronin, i just want to know, have you shot one of these yet? if you havent, i wouldnt say anything about the quality of it until you use one yourself. just because system x sold ****ty stuff in the past doesnt mean they still will. i don't like the fact that system x is copying people (cough*empire*cough), but what if it DOES shoot as good as the new timmys? i'll bet it would sell a good bit since it IS a couple hundred less....

I agree that cost is one of the biggest constraint on the growth of paintball. But cost is a by product of many economic factors including "economies of scale".

Second NPS was not the first to sign an licensing agreement, I believe that ICD was. Perhaps you may want to double check this but I'm pretty sure that this is the case.

You can not blame the 'artificially' high prices for electronic paintball guns on NPS. That was somebody elses fault. But perhaps you guys need to understand that what's happening to paintball in the last year or so is exactly what's been happening in corporate America for a long time.

Paintball Nazi? Get for real buddy. If there was a person responsible for driving the prices in paintball down, it's probably the man you're accusing of nazism.
