    Cheap paint

A lot of people are saying that paint should be cheaper and only cost $15 a case. If you read this interview you'll find out that some companys are bearly breaking even. I think we should just stop comlaining and deal with the prices (hey you can live on two meals a day right?).

The best way I think to get paint is to win it. Many local tourneys give away paint as prizes. I have read in APG about soem bigger tourneys giving away 5,10, and even 15 cases of paint to the team.

Vegeta, that is a strategy, but shouldnt be what you rely on. Also, if it is in bigger tournies, if you are winning such big prizes there are probably going to be serious sponsor oportunities that the team could benifit from more.
I only pay 35 for cases of tourney grade poaint thrpugh my sponsors.
I knwo for a fact that a lot of companies arent "just breaking even" on paint prices, the two tourny circuits in my area get paint for around 15-20 dollars each (and then sell as tourney paint for 80 dollars a case during the events)

my point with that is to show that there is actually the considerable mark-up, and while the public should not demand significant price slashes, pitty on companies for seeling to make little and help out the public should not be either.

I really do think that the public should demand lower paint prices. The companies shoudl sell it cheaper so people can play more and then buy more crap. I did a run down in economic class and the industry overall would make MORE as a friggen whole if they lowered paint prices eevn took it as a loss. Most all paint companies are in bed with their own brand of markers anyway. I would liek to organize a boycott of the bull**** paint prices but i kno no one would support me.

You aqctually have it very wrong.

              1. Most of the companies that sell/produce the actual paint make no or very few highly marketted guns, RP-shcerrer, the largest and arguably the best paint making company out there, who produces the JT, PMI and RPS paints and is a sub-venue of a very large pharmacutical company.

              2. This isnt an "industry thing". Companies are on their own looking to make a profit and suppirt themselves like any other person would. It is easy for you to yell them because you arent the one who is out there making it and hoping that you can break even and go home with money to pay for rent and food etc...and still be able to distrribute it at prices low enough that the retail stores can make some profit and stay in business

              3. A boycott on paint prices would never work because then no-one would have paint and paintball would no longer be fun because you were crying about paying a few extra bucks, paintball is expensive, why did you ever buy a marker if you didn't intend to pay and play?

I like it when the paint gets cheaper, who doesn't like to save a little money but we can't demand anything, we play because we love the sport, and fees come along with that, if you can't pay, you should't have started to play.
