My new toy - Tac One

Well after getting your opinions, I bit the bullet and bought a Tac One. I bought from a local store (Fox River Paintball in Aurora IL - they give a free 1 yr membership w/ purchase).

I've owned three Tippmanns before this (currently the M98C and A5). I love those markers, but I wanted something different. I based my choice on AGD's reputation for rugged design and excellent customer service.

I just shot it in the back yard. It's very smooth. I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this. The trigger pull is very light (compared to a Tippmann). I added a uni-mount for my HPA. I'll be adding a Ricochet AK as soon as it arrives in the mail (only $46 on Ebay). I also think that I will need a new barrel. I'm leaning towards the Stiffi. But that will have to wait for additional funds.

It will be a couple of weeks before I try it out on the field. I'll let you know how it performs.

I've always wanted to see someone come up with a vertical adaptor/foregrip with an underbarrel picatinny rail combo. Then mount a QLoader under the barrel, M203 style!

Nice! Fox is a great field, and you can bring your own paint. That is one of the only field I know of that uses Automags with N2 tanks for rental guns, those little kids out there with the rental guns can light you up!
Great gun man, those tac's are cool.

Cool, I haven't been there yet, but I am looking forward to it. I've been playing at Challenge Park, but I'm not happy with them anymore.

You may find that you don't need to spend the money on a new barrel. The 2 piece J&J that the Tac One came with is a pretty nice barrel. It shoots straight and true, I know I've enjoyed mine. Congrats on the mag you're gonna love her

And welcome to the fam soon you'll be like this

Let me first say this. The material the barrel is made out of doesnt matter.

That looks very nice. I think I may have to get a tac body instead of ule. I really like what's in front of the feedneck. It looks flat on the side, something you dont often see with mags. Very nice.
Hey, look at that! It's Santa!

There are a lot of people out there that would disagree with that.

I have a stiffi, it's a pretty cool barrel because it is so light, but I generally use my old 1 piece CP. I think that a little extra weight at the barrel makes for a smoother shot.

Thanks guys for the input. As I said, I haven't even played with marker yet. So I will wait before passing judgement on the barrel. Does anyone know the i.d. of the stock barrel. Or, conversely, what size paint best fits the stock barrel. Oh, and even though I haven't used the marker in a game yet, I'm already thinking about the ULT. I just can't help it.
