Hey Skirts, this Kanji symbol.... do we realy know what it means? I mean I would not want to find out it said "I'm Gay" or "I am a Donkey" or something later and realize it explains all the snickering going on.....

Does anyone have a good picture of the Kanji symbol on the back of the jersey? My cousin studied Japanese in school, he might know what it means.

My buddy grew up in Okenawa, Japan and showed me the symbol... with thousands of symbols in the kanji alphabet its hard to say if someone from Japan would recognize the symbol or not. There are multiple kanji symbols for the word pride depending on the meaning of the verb. The one i chose was the common one with positive conotation. There is another symbol for "pride" which represent the pride associated with the Bible as "sinful" pride. Take this information for what its worth... I had the same problem when I had "Jesus" tatooed on my arm in japanese kanji since christianity is not the principal religion of Japan and you never know what a tatoo parlor's symbols "really" mean.
This concludes my lesson for the day.

I have seen many posts about how bad Tom's advertising is. Personally i dont think it is and i understand wy hes doing what hes doing. But for all those who think AGD has bad marketing strategys stop complaing and do something productive, start by buying a jersey maybe.Comment
