AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I think the reason most people hate on mags is because they think they are old and not very good. I mean, Last electro(and only) that agd produced was in 2000. You don't see wdp using the same electro sysem as they did in 00'. I'm going to get flamed for saying it, but it is true, and most people think that since it was made in 00' it isn't up to date with current technology.

Actually,
there is very little difference bewteen the first V6 angel and the laast IR3. Even the new Fly isnt that different from the orginal V6. I think you would be hard pressed to find any real innovation in the electro market in the last 5 years. I think the only changes we have seen is in the software. Software aside, the difference today is pretty colors and aGG milling.
I think AGD's problem is not apealing to the aGG kiddies. Remember that paintball is more about fashion than it is about playing.
I started out in the semi world as a cocker guy. I'm into stock class and the cocker was a natural jump. Now I really do think that mags are better for me. I'm pressed for both time and money. I don't have the time to time a cocker, and I certainly don't have the money to build the one that I want.
Who misses splatmaster? :shooting:
I know I do! :headbang:
I dont know about you guys, but if I go to the field, and look at the open players, 75% of them are wearing camo shooting spyders or tippmanns. Or how about kids want to use an electro that is tourney legal and you don't need to worry about all the hybird bs that the emag carries along with it.

WTF?
How many emags are at your field. I see one and that is my buds.
Mags, in the early years were an awesome gun, far and away better than any but a few competitors.
Now the purpose of a paintball gun is to shoot a lot of paintballs down teh field at a high rate of speed, and be reasonable consistent of the chroney, while being able to "pass" for semi-auto. The mag is hurt by the RT effect, making it both harder to chrono consistant and harder to get on without bounce - though it can be done without a major deal.
That being said, I do no think there is a single marker out today that is "great". No marker far exceeds the competition... frankly they are all basically the same in my opinion when it gets down to function.
