When you write about the co2 tank deaths, make sure you say it was user error. It was not a paintball that caused the death, but paintball related equitment.

That's good. Something like this might do the trick: "Improperly maintained equipment, coupled with inattentive users combined to cause these two deaths. They were peripheral to the game itself."

APG does paintball accident/injury reporting every year.

          Keep all of them clean.

actually it was because the 2 tanks valves were removed to put in a anti-siphon tubes in and when the owners put it back they didnt do it right and they didnt know but they sold it anyway, so if your gonna buy a anti-siphon c02 tank make sure you buy it from a company and not from someone :) the deaths were because the valve wasnt sealed all that great and when they went to remove the tank the valve stuck to the duckbill while they screwed the tank itself off the valve and the c02 was still filled and shot off who knows how fast and it killed the kid but other then that air tanks should be safe if they are done correctly :)

This is not true. Wrong design for the application

One of those tanks was new out of box. Guess why it failed. Didnt meet ASTM safety standards.

search.......Benita Johnson or Brandon her son killed

One was caused by user error, one was manufacturing error. I should have made that distinction in my above post.

A tragic death occurred a few days ago at a recreational paintball field in northern California. According to reports, the player began to unscrew the tank from his marker after the games were over. The tank and its valve should have remained attached to each other, as a unit. Instead, the tank was unscrewed from the tank valve, while the tank valve remained screwed into the ASA of the marker. The tank flew a few feet, and struck a woman in the head. She died instantly
what field is that there talking about? Damn that sucks, pretty close to the area

i have never herd of any deaths due to an acutal paint hit in a vaild game, besides that welts and normal sport injuries cause from running jumping sliding and what ever else we do, i had to carry a friend of the field once he twisted his ankle like ive never seen kicking an ancor for an air prop

Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

At OA the other day, I was speaking to one of the owners - since 1988, they've had 170,000 people come through the field & only 32 injuries reported, none caused by paint. All were related to ankles, wrists, etc (basically sports related injuries to joints, etc).
