Possible footware for paintball - Poll - Magnum Boots

Magnum boots were at Shatnerball 2004. What do u think? $100 a pair ... would u buy them?

    Here is some info.

    Phantom
Magnum USA recently unveiled its Fall 2004 collection of duty footwear, leading the way with the new Phantom V-Lite Collection. The Phantom V-Lite utilizes a revolutionary "vertical build concept" passionately devoted to stripping away as much weight as possible and incorporating advanced lightweight materials, without compromising structural integrity. A resulting benefit of Phantom V-Lite's construction: the ability to pass through metal detectors with no sensitivity.

I have some older magnums... They are very light and comfy in my experience. I've worn them for years hunting, playing pball, and other various activities. They're banged up but if I had to buy another boot, I'd DEFINITELY go with another type of Magnum.

For wearing around, sure, for paintball, not really. I've played for years switching between duty boots and cleats and cleats are where it's at for me.

Oohhhh, if they breathe well then I'd say yes! They even have the integrated zippers.

I wonder if the toes are reinforced well or not.

Yeah. I had Magnums awhile back. They were nice, but I sure wouldn't pay $100 for them. You can get Magnums on sale at most big sporting goods chains for under $60.
                      My feedback is available here.

They look nice for scenario but they are working on some low top cleats for tourney ball. They had a few pair on display but not for sale at SB. I've been sporting a prototype Magnum cleat for a while and I like them more than my ATCs. Hopefully they release them soon.

every 14 months or so i go out to Big 5 and replace my $20 football cleats with new $20 football cleats. It's hard for me to spend 3 years of shoe money on 1 pair that aren't even cleats

of course this is coming form a guy who spent more on an E-Mag than most spent on their X-Mags.
