Ghetto clampy mod (SFL owners know what im talking about)

Hey, this question is for all the SFl owners that use Halos with the ghetto clamping rise mod. You know, the one where the halo goes over the feed neck and is attatched with a hose clamp...2 things:
1) How well does it work?
and 2) How exactly do you do it? thanks a lot

I had an sfl but now have an xmag. I honestly liked my sfl breech better w/ the halo mod.

Very snug, but wrap a little tape over the SFL feedneck so the HALO slides over very snuggly. If not the feedneck of the HALO could eventually crack from the stress of clamping that hard. Also I sanded the inside of the feedneck to take away the lip and help smooth feeding.
