I have tried a ccm/works and a revenge v2. I have heard that the evo is supposed to be the best mech cocker in the planet. Is that true , or is best subjective? any other suggestions?
anyone try an evo cocker?

the products used on the evo cocker are some of the best there are. cant get much better if you built it yourself.Originally posted by AzrealDarkmoonZYou know you could build your own cocker =) IT would be cheaper, more satisfying and perform better.
The only time IMHO Evos truly shine head and shoulders is in their slide trigger type, probably the nicest slide trigger on any mass produced marker. It was long but oh so light.

Don't get me wrong the Evo is an excellent marker, and definetly in the top tier of production cockers, especially in the slider type. But its a very high priced marker, for that price you could build a very nice bodied cocker with the best equiptment.
Having played a few games with the Evo back in 2002 I can compare it to my custom built merlin and say that the merlin took it on all accounts except one, smoothness of trigger and that was the difference in the roller sear.

I will say one thing that doesn't get mentioned much is that evolutions have some of the best anno in the business. I have had several works which are great markers but the anno would be thin in some spots, but on my evolutions it is just perfect.Comment

I'll second that. They're nice guns, but I think it's almost a ripoff to charge $1200 for a mech. I built mine for ~$600, and I'll be willing to bet that mine performs equal to, or better than an Evo.Originally posted by AzrealDarkmoonZYou know you could build your own cocker =) IT would be cheaper, more satisfying and perform better.

That's not to say I wouldn't buy one if it was cheaper, because I would.
