Whats the deal with the E-Mag selector switch?

The E-Mag as you all know has the selector switch to change from the various modes of fire. Pointed towards the battery when the gun is on = hybrid mode, and when the gun is off = mechanical mode. Point the switch straight down and you've got electro mode.

However! Point the switch back, away from the battery pack and you have an even shorter trigger pull than the electro mode's and it still shoots, so just what the heck is this? It's not described or covered anywhere in the manual.

Also another question. What does AGD have against on/off switches outta curiosity? Both the E-Mag and the Warp Feed dont come with them (yea I know there are mods you can do to give them on/off switches, but thats not my point). Any reasons for this? Any plans for future versions of either to have them??

    Thanks!

      Welcome to AO.

First of all, the back position on the selector switch was originally intended to be the safety. That didn't work out, so they put the safety behind the sear to limit the movement of the sear instead of the trigger. It can also work as a E-Mode position as long as the magnet is adjusted properly to work with that length of pull. With the switch in E-Mode, you have infinite adjustment on trigger pull length via the set screw.

As for on/off switches, AGD doesn't put one in the E-Mag, because there isn't one out there that can handle the amp load and is small enough. That's what I've heard, not sure if there have been any developments in on/off switches for the E-Mag. Just make sure the pin is tied to some kind of a lanyard. At least with the pin you can't hit it with your hand and bump it off in the middle of a game.

As for Warp on/off switch, the only reason I can see is to keep cost downs and to eliminate the annoyance of having to turn on and off the Warp. Everyone some time or another forgets to turn the Revy on before a game starts, at least you don't have to worry about the Warp, since there's no on/of switch.

I beleve the on/off wasn't included in the warp because they couldn't find one that they liked. The original design was supposed to have a on/off/reverse switch, but the right switch was hard to come by for some reason, so they just didn't include it.

I also beleve that Tom said that a redesign of the warp would only happen if they became more popular.
