    Support your local shops

Sorry if this is too much of a rant but here goes

I have a local mom n pop paintball shop near me and the owner rocks he is one of the nicest guys i have ever met. Anyway i was at his shop earlir looking for a parts kit and some agg kid was trying to get him to know down his price cause hes a few bucks over the prices on the net. This made me mad because i play at local fields but i always feel like a number there and don't dare need a part cause for a entry level gun cause they dont care. The firt time I walked in to this shop the guy took a part of a spyder he had in stock so i could play the day with my gun. since then he has been my supplier of gear. In the last 3 years i know i have spent about a grand there and i have a few friends that have done the same. He may not carrier every part but no one else does and he has told me a hundred times he'll order anything. he carrys a large supply of paint and doesn't and makes a point to shoot every new brand just to know what its like. I am sure i could have save about 50$ over the years but shopping online but you will find often after the price of shipping you may not be saving as much as you think buying stuff on the net. but he will put on anything you buy there and tech or try to tech any gun you have. these are the poeple we need to be giving our money to not some web site that may have the lowest price so support you local shops.

Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

il seocnd that ive seen sone great local shops go out of biz because people would rather buy over the net. i finaly have a good local shop that carries about everything neede(even for maggers ) and the guys are great. unles something is like half price on the net then im going there. i agree about shipping cost as well.

however if somwthing i want is cheaper on the net im still more likely to get it there.

While I totally agree with supporting the locals. I do have one issue that needs to be dealt with, in my area, the dealers/shops usually don't know what they are doing. They usually end up tinkering with the marker and sometimes screwing it up in the proccess, then they need to send it out to get fixed at the factory. I'm not saying all of them, but there are some out there that take part in this practice. Just my .02

you just need to find a good store. I buy stuff from my local store all the time. I know it isn't the cheapest, and they dont have many mag parts, but its easier to buy from them ,or their website. They also are knowledgeable about paintball.

            Right on.

It's just too bad my store doesn't support AGD. They have a couple of misc parts but that is it. But it is a great store.

I agree. I am now making a better effort to buy from my local store/field. However, the problem I continue to run into, they do not have what I need. Great, they wil order it.... I give them a list of what I need, and tell them to get back with me on prices and when they will get it - I never hear from him. BTW, the list will run around 600+... So, I will go back up, tomorrow and pay a visit see if he came up with anything. If not, I am going to order it online.

Some stuff you just can't get at your store. Custom guns, stuff like the Qloader. So while I am there (online), I might as well pick up ther rest of my items. One stop shopping. It is just convience for me. I don't mind paying a little bit more - I do mind having to make 5 trips...

would rather not say.... PM. I don't have anything bad to say about them. It is just a part time thing and they have a lot of stuff going on. I can understand that, I just can't wait a month to get what I need now.

Good people. Just a little busy... I guess

It's not my responsibility to keep anybody in business. My business goes to whoever gets me what I need cheapest. I can tech my own guns and keep spares on hand so I don't run into said problems.

my shop is very AGD friendly. have a rt pro in stock also some others plus a lot of parts for them, but my problem is that the try to rip ppl off sometimes. also they arent ICD friendly. they hate ICD and love smart parts( i guess cause SP makes more money for them, up grade wise, gun wise since thir guns are more expensive then ICD guns but not as good imo)
