Dude, that is soooo cool!!! I used to rescue Possums when I lived in San Diego. We were with a non-profit organization called Project Wildlife that rehabilitated possums. I can dig up some old info for you if you need it...like what they eat, how to handle them, etc. By the looks of that one, it is an adult. When you move around it...just be careful and move slowly, cause they bite hard!!! ( :) ) The cool thing is, they can't carry rabies, because their temperature is a few degrees lower than what it takes rabies to survive, so if he bites, no prob, it'll just hurt:)

i have seen them, and squirrels and all those other lil critters at the many feilds ive been to, its kinda sad to watch some of the kids shoot at them...

I agree that penguins are cool. I really don't like the kids that TRY to shoot at the birds with their paintball guns. It's really dumb and when they hit one it's just cruel. I personally shoot squirrels with a bb gun to keep them out of our attic. I think 2 rats and 1 squirrel have died in there.

Seriously though, I love animals, always have, my parents used to have a pair of raccoons that they rescued from a house that was being torn down. They were the shiznit.

They also had a ferret. One time my grandma came over to see it and asked if it bit, of course my mom said that it didn't. But what do ya know, a few seconds later, my grandma lifted up her arm and the ferret was dangling off it.

Ahhh, good times.

That scaly (sp?) tail freaks me out though.
