If you watch the G.I. JOE movie Valor Vs Venom, the start the movie off with a paintball game. The Joe's had just goggles on and the kids they are playing with have on full maskes.

Later in the movie paintball saves the world. They load the antidote for the venom into paintballs and shoot people with them.

The original GI Joe movie is better, when Duke gets stabbed by Serpentor. I remember it was a huge deal, because they actually showed blood. I still love that movie -- I own it on DVD.
