The lids won't break if you remove those "Let's create stress concentrations" springs.

The battery door won't break if you shave down the area on the door that pushes on the battery a bit.

And if you cut down the feed neck so it doesn't have any extra straight section coming out from the top of the feedneck then you've got a golden Egg that will never break.

I wouldn't consider an egg a force fed hopper or a gravity fed hopper. A gravity fed hopper should be able to feed using gravity. A force fed hopper should feed using force. It doesn't really do either very well. You can't feed the paintballs without power and there is no force behind the paintballs while loading.

i've taken appart many hoppers and a egg really isnt that bad just gotta know what your somewhat doing

Your installation/taking apart problem is really your fault. But other than that Viewloaders in general do suck. If my teammate ever finds his eggy (he doesn't care enough to look for the peice of garbage), we are definately using the shells as salsa bowls at events... definately.

In Regards to "Force Feed"....

there are two working definitions that people choose to use. the broader one applies to the Halo As and Eggs and the second applies to Halo Bs.

Broad: Forcing the paintball into the tube, down the feedneck into the breech.

Constricting: Applying a constant force tothe paintballs.

you pick the one you want to use and use it wisely!

As a Stock Player all I can say is Amen. Oh, and I do think the Battery Door on Eggs could be improved upon, it never seems to want to shut.
