it is a nice matrix, i wont tell you it isnt, but i would really look back into getting the proto, or even an older dm4. The proto is baisically the newest evolution of the matrix, while the dm5 is a newer dm4. thet use different triggerframes, etc etc. The proto is lighter, aced, and has newer technology in it. and really, the fuse bolt style bolt, is much much nicer to work with than the old.... hold it all together and slide it in deal. again, the trix you have selected is very nice, but its resale is also about to take a huge hit. i wouldnt be surprised if it only sells for 600 within the next few months. the proto will be holding value for a while, and will perform much like a dm4, which if i may say so my self, is amazing

For another 150-200 you could get a DM4.
I had offers of $1000 before the DM5s where released, but now I can't even unload it for $900.

Why not just get a Vision Shocker with HE bolt for $650?
They're just Matrices with smaller bodies.

I think the price is steep, bro. I would say "NAY" and bet on finding a better trix for that cash or even consider the Proto or a used DM4 forking a little extra. Just MHO

That Gatorback milling is pretty rare. I think it was done by Demon guns, but I'm not sure how in demand they are.

Too steep for me. I got a nice LED with good upgrades off ebay for $450 a month back.

protos look nice, I *think* they use the new dm5 short bolts. They seem like nice guns, but it has a new board, without upgradable chips like the dm5 and 4. So if you wanted a new board it'll cost at least $100 when they come out (i think some are in the works already).

The only video I have seen of one shoot (dry fire) is this, and the guy is horrible at walking the trigger. http://www.eurban-design.com/hosted/...JvdG8gTTUud212

Dm4's are still sweet, and close to the price of proto if you get one used. New Tadao Musashi code chip coming out, supposedly faster than original. Of course theres a whole slew of ramping chips if thats your thing. Evolve bolt is getting the kinks worked out and also rumors of a carbon fiber bolt from europe getting made.

Dm5's will of course be studly. http://www.idlepimps.com/phazed/dm5-2.AVI

                  ----
Overall I would say go for the Dm4. I am kinda hoping the release of the proto will up dm4's resale a bit, as I think a used dm4 will still be better than a proto.

                      ups for spelling "matricies" right

i would take my shocker over my dye trix any day. it basically has the same trigger feel, same "no-kick" and accuracy. basically a smaller of the same trix

I love my Trix also. The only thing I want for it is a vert frame. Unfortunately Evolve isn't able to make theirs anymore , and you have to win the lottery to find one used.
