Sorry but I disagree. I sell markers and one of the markers that I have sold the most is the A-5. If you start shooting a string of paint at someone at a distance you will soon see the balls falling short. I say this from lots of experience.

the flatline was worth the $125 for me just for one reason:
ultra long range gog shots. The kind where you're aiming up just a little bit with a flatline to punch out that last little bit of range, you can't even see the balls once they've "jumped" - but you see the orange splat on some guy's lens.
The flatline has it's time and it's place. In woodsball with some decent open areas and/or elevated positions, it's an ultimate weapon. Everywhere else, including speedball (duh), close up work, and even some midrange shots (which would be long range for a normal barrel), I'd rather have a normal barrel.
I was thinking with the A5 and it's quick(ish) change barrel, to carry the flatline and a normal barrel out into some games for some extra versitility. I can't justify buying an A5 for that reason though - I'll stick with the 98.
