    Wanted: Your opinion on ASAs

I am making my christmas list this year and I need some help from you guys. I am looking at getting a new ASA with on/off and some sort of drop or something. This is going on a 68 Classic with stock rail. I would prefer something black or chrome-ish, clean conservative lines (no flames or anything), and as short of a drop as I can find. I would consider something like a unimount but I really just don't know what will work on my marker.

Anyone want to share their opinion?

    Newbie update-
I bunkered someone for the first time yesterday. It was the highlight of my weekend.

The one I have is the best, they don't sell it online anywhere and it's pretty unknown.

ACI makes it, we call it the bullet-ASA

It's about 15 bucks retail, mounts right on the gun, and has a straight macroline fitting out the front, nothing on the sides, no on/off, no hassle. Allows you to play tighter, is more comfortable, and over-all rocks.

My friend is going to be making 100 of these himself (He's a machinist) I'm going to sell them online for him.

I like my CP rail on/off asa combo. Rail or drop is all preference though.

I would go with Northwest Products, they make an awesome short drop, an on/off that works very well, and they make quick disconnects for drops which are the coolest thing ever. BTW congrats on the bunker move, I know I felt that way my first time, and when I figure out how to do it with my Phantom I will feel that way again.

This page has a pretty good variety:

            God gave you a soul.
            Your parents, a body.
            Your country, a rifle.

            Keep all of them clean.

I use a Dye frop with a Hybrid ASA on/off on both my mags. If you want as short of drop as possible then go with a rail style ASA.
Here is a link to the hybrid one: Hybrid

Their rail does not have an on/off though.

Here is a pic of their dropmicro drop

Here is the pic of their ASA w/ On/off ASA On/Off

                  Good luck.

i use a cp rail/ asa combo, or my shocktech mini stumpy drop with shocktech asa. shocktech also offers very small drops as well. http://www.shocktechusa.com/pages/af_drop_mini.html
not sure where to find the cp stuff, i picked mine up at chicago open this year.

Like mag/cocker lover mentioned shocktech. That is what I use for both drop forward and on/off ASA. Mine is chrome and link here for what it looks like on my 68AUTOMAG.

I use a shocketech mini stumpy and a shocktech on/off asa on my emag

I like it but am thinking of replacing the mini stumpy with a Hybrid blunt rail.
