Large how? They're really not any taller than an Autococker...which really aren't all that tall.

Depends on the bolt kit. The new bolt kit can get around 1500 on a 68/4500

Had a chance to shoot LJ's (Legacy) new Proto Matrix this weekend. HOT DAM! I would say any Matrix, but the new Proto in actually considerably smaller than a DM4.

Unfortunately I have not had the chance to shoot a trix of any kind, but I do have a freestyle, and I really like it. Small, light, super fast but only so-so on gas. It is not as bad as my emag, but not as good as my ebladed cocker (closer to the emag). But I have the new bolt kit on order so I'm hoping it will help. I find the freestyle trigger to be very walkable and it is easy to snap shoot. It comes down to your preferance anyway, shoot both and see which you like better.

wow da franchise you need to take some ritalin and chill the heck out.
i personally would prefer the freestyle because the lighter weight but trixes are nice guns too

question to cphil: is an extraordinary lack of intelligence grounds for a ban?
followup question: if not, would you consider making it so in order to preserve this forum?

oh, and personally i think the freestyle is a better marker.

ok... well I'll work on a couple misconceptions...

A: All markers with moving parts have recoil, no matter how small it is. I own a Gen2 Freestyle and it has EXTREMELY low kick. My friend has a Trix, it's nice but it's not as good as the FS, I say this not JUST because I'm biased, but also cause ppl at my local field and proshop prefer the FS to the Trix 9/10 times.

B: FS with HE kit is quite efficient. I currently get around a hopper per 400 PSI drop (halo) now seeing as I have about a cold 4000 PSI fill, I get ~1500-1600 shoots.... that's quite good

C: Trix is louder, larger. and a bit heavier than the FS

D: Both shoot great (Flat trajectories) Can shoot both about the same speed, my FS is a bit easier though cause of the size and weight difference

E: Chances are FS you can get for a lower cost

F: I'm not 100% sure but I believe ICD may have just released a new HE kit revision, gotta check on it... something about a spring in the poppet... dunno... But either way I'm sure this will increase efficiency further and lower operating pressures

there's my 10cents, hope I helped someone out

I think it's better to say that it *can* be efficient. Average is 1200-1500

Louder depends on the bolt... I've seen *EXTREMELY* quiet Matrices. Larger? Not by much honestly. Heavier? Yeah, but it's not a huge deal.

There is no "trajectory"... guns shooting the same paint at the same velocity will have the same trajectory.

I've seen Gen1 Freestyles go for anywhere from 550 to ~850 for the new 05's. DM3's at www.thematrixcenter.com are $1k+

i have a new 05 freestyle and love it.

maintainence (sp): i have time to clean and lube it after every game- no not day of play- game. unscrew one screw, pull off the back block, unscrew bolt tip, lube bolt, screw bolt tip back on, put back block on, screw in screw. so easy. sometimes i even clean out the detents and eyes after every game. and still have time to get a drink.

speed: i never knew i could walk the trigger that fast...and i think is physcially capable of firing more bps than any other gun...somewhere in the high SIXTIES or above...

weight: lighter than newe shockers...1.8 lbs.

efficiency: dry fire about 6000 shots and then u'll be rather amazed..

                              customer service: freaking amazing.

upgradeable: not as up'able as the trix, however, it kinda comes with all it needs...the stock reg that everyone hates usually gets + or - 3fps..thats pretty good. im just buying a

Between a matrix and a freestyle?
