polishing classic valve

can someone tell me a good way to polish a classic valve? i been using my dremel and it leaves lines

Kinda like how I have my E-Mag valve polished (second valve from left)?

It's a time consuming process of hand polishing with fine grit wet paper and using a special polishing compound for hard metals like stainless steel.

Yah something like that, my dremel got it real shinned and took of the writing on it but it leaves lines... if i use the paper do you think it will get rid of the lines or just shine them up more ;p

I was looking at your classic... the emag valve polished part is exactly like i want it though... what type of paper and compound did you use?
