timmy stock reg, high output tank, AKA 2 liter? it go boom?

did the search thing, came up empty,

I just picked up a used 2k2 timmy, it has the stock reg on it (torpedo?).

I own a crossfire red band preset nitro tank (850 output).

Can I use this tank with this reg, or do I need to get a blue band (450 output) tank? If so, I have heard that the aka 2 liter takes 850 preset tanks without isue, is this true? it would be cheaper to pick up one of those rahter than a new tank...

I run an 850 output crossfire through an aka 2 liter on my Cyborg.
It works perfect with no issues...or "go boo" as you say.

a HP output tank will be fine
and the torpedo is a good reg.

if you MUST replace it i would go with a custom products or a sidewinder

u dont need the 2 liter altho they are awesome, the torpedo takes HP tanks just fine.

id just stick with the torp. It will take high pressure, and its easy to maintain and works fine.
