Spyder Programing ??

How do you program the differnt fire rates for the Spyder Imagine? Friend just bought his gun there are instructions but they dont tell about the button and the switch. Thanks

When you turn it on, it defaults to semi mode and the low rate of fire (only applicable in auto/burst). You have probably already figured that out.

If you don't pull the trigger, one push of the button in the backstrap should turn it to 3-rnd burst. If you did pull the trigger, push the button twice.

The next mode is auto. So, if you haven't pulled the trigger, it's 1 more push of the button (2 pushes from switching it on). If you have pulled the trigger, it's another 2 pushes.

To get to higher rate of fire, switch into burst or auto first. Then, hold down the button until the LED flashes, release the button, then press it. The LED should change to another color, but will still flash. Hold the button until the flashing stops. It should now be in high ROF.

So, pushing the button cycles it through the various firing modes. Holding the button switches between the two rates of fire.

If your Imagine was purchased at Walmart, it will have the "tournament lock" engaged. Really, this lock is nothing more than a computer jumper on the Spyder's board that, when removed, disables all modes except semi. Between the middle LED and the battery slot, there should be a small black piece of plastic that covers two small posts that protrude from the board. If the lock is missing, you need to buy one to enable the various modes (available anywhere that sells computer stuff for about a quarter).

thanks distructo can we jump the to polls ourselves using wire and solder

Of course, but it would probably be easier to locate a jumper, maybe from an old hard drive or such.

Thanks much destructo didnt know about the computer jumper but we used a small wire to press over the polls. My buddy is very happy about his new fire rate. Would like to know how these guns hold up over time.

They hold up pretty well, better if you do some preventative maintenance.

The striker Oring needs to be lubed pretty well or it will sputter or double fire.

A spring kit and anti-siphon/remote tank will help it stay at the velocity limit.
