    Hyperframe Old vs New

    Guys I have a question,

I want to know the differences between the Old Hyperframes and the New ones. I have been studying this Hyperframe to decide if I want to even wait any longer for it to come in.

At my local shop, they have frames with grip handles that have kinda like crescents overlapping each other in opposite directions. The again, I also saw online Hyperframes with just a normal porous looking grip.

Are there 2 different Hyperframes of differeing generations. What is the difference between the 2 generations?

I will be buying a Hyperframe from my local shop very shortly (if the one from AO doesnt come in), and want to know if there is actually a better version to watch out for.

    Let me know all.

I've never heard of 2 different generations, I have a pic of mine if that would help. Id call centerflag and ask if I were you because if there is 2 generations its an awful load of money to spend on somthing you dont want.

Good to know that somone of Tom's status seeks "relief" from a sport he helped create. A sport now ruled by a single patent.

sounds like aftermarket grip handles, like dye stickies or something. I would just buy a regular Hyperframe, that way you know it wasnt messed with, i mean could have been a used Hyperframe, somebody messed with, designed the grips, and slapped it on an old frame, if this was case, Lord only knows what else they messed with too! I would a.) ask to see it mounted AND function on a gun before you buy it. B.) go to www.centerflagproducts.com, e-mail them an inquiry on release of a new style frame, then make decision. To my knowledge the only electro frame out thats new is the Boo-Yaah/Mako frame....... which i would recommend buying the hyperframe over any day of the week. Electro frames are nice, but no substitute for the real thing IMO!!!!!!

I know for a fact that there are 2 different grip handles out for them.

At my local shop, they have like 3 New Hypers with Crescent Moon like cuts engraved into the handles.

But if you look at the ones on Warpig, an article by Bill Mills has a Hyperframe with just a simple porous grip handles.

I also heard along the forum that the "earlier" generation Hyperframes had a longer on/off pin which caused bolt waer. The newer ones have a slightly shorter one. Kinda wierd since they say most fixes will involve swapping to a longer pin...

I have a hyper frame and love it, i just hate the grips.

                they are not really comfy

Hyper I believe its actually the opposite. my hyperframe
came with a pin the same length as the agd one,
and I was sent a longer one. the original cf pin was
.747" and the replacement was .774"
                      The original agd was .751"
