i've been seeing that people have tanks that need to be hydro'd every 5 years. i thought it was every 3 years that they had to be hydro'd. is it just certain tanks that can be done every 5 or are they mistaken?

most have to be hydroed every 3 years, but a tank manufactured by luxfer has to be hydroed only every 5 years. -
yes luxfer tanks and steal tanks are hydroed every 5-years. said something about paintball tanks are much more different then the other ones used by like fire depts. and others. I think the DOT codes for the luxfer ones are DOT-E10415 . and my tank is also 5-years fiber wrapped but it has a different DOT code. sorry if I'm not making sense, because I'm confusing myself also.Red 2k1 C&C LCD

Ok, I might as well get in on this question... So you are saying that my 68 Crossfire Stub ("Light Weight Alloy Steel") with a date of 06 00, doesn't have to be hydro'd until 06 05?
