I Think I'm Gonna Do It! (Spimmy)

Hey guys I think i am going to buy a chep imagine or another cheap spyder and do the spyder to timmy conversion. I think i can get the parts pretty cheap. MY concern is that i might mess up and ruin the entire gun. So i might have someone else build it for me. Has anyone donr this coversion here on AO before?

do it man, just really make sure what your doing before u actually do it. Plan it all out even before you buy a 2 dollar detent. Make sure u know how everything works to, most of the time u can fix something if u know how it works.

I'd probably go with some sort of top-cocking spyder to build it from rather than an imagine, since you'd need to do some work to use a Timmy bolt on an imagine body

Top cocking spyders are the fenix, tl-x, and the pilot. They are quite a bit more than an imagine but i might just have to spend more money on a stock spyder.

You won't get it done for anywhere near 200 bucks. If it were that cheap, everyoine would do it. It costs a least 400... You might as well buy a 2k2 timmy for 100 more.

If i can get a good deal on the parts i need i will do it. Otherwise i'll just buy a timmy. There was a guy on pbnation that did this coversion for a little over $200.

to save some money you could also use a classic or GZ frame instead of a clammy.
