Some people just don't get it...

Last night I was having a good time at a local indoor field (picture LOTS of oil-dry on the floor to soak up the paint. Actually a lot better than it sounds.) A guy on my team with his new Piranah breaks a ball but doesn't have anything to clean it. He called for help, so I tossed him my T-handle squeegie and continued my game. I forgot about it until the game was over and I was back on the field picking up my empty pods. There my squeegie was... paint all over it, laying on and caked with the oil-dry... Paint I expect and don't mind. That's what it's for. I wouldn't have minded if he had at least offered to clean it for me afterward... Maybe I'm just too picky, but this irritated me quite a bit.

it does break the Paintball rules of etiquette.
      1) get your own squegee, borowin is ok once or twice.
      2) wipe borrowed squegees
3)never borrow paint(unless from a good friend) you aint gunna give it bak.
      4) let less experianced players get kills and hangs
      5) dont falsly accuse others when you lose or get hit

            How rude!

I just cannot stand people who borrow and do not bring back in good shape...or do not even bring back at all and you have to ask for it. I am sorry but it bothers me that people do not have good manners.

A couple days and a Packers win later and I'm over the squeegie incident. For newbies, some of those guys were pretty good, and I'll still loan it out as needed. I am getting more irritated at the individual on our team with the Shocker (if I remember correctly) and Freak setup that though blind shooting was a good idea. He was so good at it that he hit a guy in the ankle bone from 3 feet away, and 90 degrees from where he should have been shooting. Yup. He got me NEXT to him instead of the enemy in front of us. Then he almost got Animal after I went to the dead-zone... Animal was on our team as well... Some people should take up other sports! Can't wait 'till next weekend when I can do it again!

Last time I played, I had some nubbin/doublefeed/chopping problems, and I had to clean my powerfeed tube. I accidenatlly left my feed tube plug and a pod on the field after someone got me while I was cleaning out my barrel. (doh)

After the game I went onto the field... my pod and powerfeed plug were gone.... who would take a super long powerfeed tube plug at a field where no one uses a warp?

after ownign an f5 for a while, i got used to not needing a squeege for any reason. When i took my new mag for a spin i found that chopping is a very real thing in this sport. SO i borrowed a squeege. After the game i foudn the guy who i had borrowed it from and gave it back to. THen i asked him if i could trade him squeegees, i had bought him a brand new still in plastic wrap battle swab. HE gladly agreed and we played a great day of paintball. I thought it was just the necissary thing to do. HINT HINT. Just hoping other peopel could do this for people in the future. :-) I like making other peoples days slightly better, maybe other people could take up that hobby while playing paintball.

The original post reminds me of something I saw happen this past weekend. A ref at my local outdoor field loaned out his warp fed 98 to a good friend for the week. His friend had it bagged up for him when bringing it back. So when he unpacked it at the field he got the shock. He found the warp full of broken paint, the warp hose cracked in half, and the rev was missing altogether. That's not to mention that there was paint all over the outside of the gun (big gobs, not just spray). The guy didn't even bother to wipe it down.

It wasn't my gun of course, but it really made me realize how mad I would've been. It wasnt like it was a BE talon or something. (I'd expect to get that back in a vacuum cleaner bag) I guess it does tell me to never loan out my emag, even to a good friend :|

It was a gift? That explains a lot. Probably his first real gun. Next time he shows up, I hope he's on the other team....

"Accidently" shooting my own team-mate is an option, but I'd feel better about tagging him a couple of times. Couple DOZEN times, that is. My ankle still hurts from his blind shooting.
