    Looking at Barrel Kits

And i'm not quite sure which is the way to go.

I've looked at the matchstick, kaner, pipe, and a few others. Does anyone have anything they can recommend from personal experience?

I'm thinking i can get away with 3 bores, but can anyone argue that 4 is neccesary? I'm on a pretty tight budget.

there all good kits. i have a pipe and it is nice. my bro has a freak and he likes it. see if you can find someone with the barrel kit in the threads you are using and use the kit for a game.

I'm sure that 3 bores is enough. I use the scepter with 5 inserts, but just because I got a killer deal (~100$, brand new from the shop). I can really recommend the scepter, very nice machining, sturdy, and I like that the inserts are fairly long. Makes a rather air-efficient barrel.

Haven't shot a barrel kit I didn't like, from Freak to Empire to CP. I think 3 bores is enough, small one, regular one and a big one. Right now I have a Freak with 2 inserts and the AA back. However, I normally just use my Stiffi unless the paint is real big then I use the Freak with a big insert.

If you have an open bolt marker i suggest you dont get a kit, just seems like a waste of money to me.

But Kaner kits are awesome. So are Matchsticks and Powerlyte Scepters. Havn't used a Pipe to comment on them, but I hear they are sweet.

Reason why I like the Scepter and even the Freak is cause if you have two guns that take different threads you can use the same barrel by purchasing just one back instead of a new set.

Pipes WILL break. Have you seen how thin those tips are? They are like paper!

Evil came out with some new tips that look alot stronger than the olp paper thin ones.

Of course, those will cost you extra

whitwolf has a barrel for around 60 i think and it takes freak isnerts.

so buy it and few inserts itl be the best abrrel under $100 ever and you dont really need a kit there over rated

i like my pipe. not too woried about it breakin, but they are pretty thin. three bores is prolly good enough. i dunno if ur made of money like allot of paintballers seem to be, but if price doesnt matter id sudgest a titanium boomy with the three backs. palmer barrels shoot reealll nice too.

REDZ has the Pepper Stick coming out, infact you can take preorders for them on their sit www.redzcomfortgear.com as of right now.

It has 3 control backs (8 inches in length) and 2 fronts, to make it either 14 inches or 16 inches. They say with the 8 inch backs, everyone who has used it so far has had to turn their velocity down, thus making your marker more efficent (spelling).

Comes in a nice little case, with a REDZ folding swab!!
