    Washing gear.. how?

I recently bought empire tournament pants, empire arm pads, and an empire head band I use when I play/ref. I've had the pants about 2 weeks and just got the pads and head band today. I want to wash them cause they're getting kinda filty (duh), but I have no clue how. Is it just normal load with soap and fabric softener? Or is it high duty wash, or gentle wash.. I have no clue. Also, what temperature of water? Do they tumble dry or air dry?

At over $160 of gear, I don't want to make a stupid mistake that could ruin them somehow from simple ignorance.

    Any help?

I just dump all my gear in and put them in the drier. I'm lazy. C4 pants still holding up.

Well, Empire pants specifically say on them not to put them in the dryer.

I wash the stuff in the normal cycle, but I make sure I turn my jersey inside-out.. As for drying, I will dry them but I leave it on the lowest head selection possible. (pretty much air dry cycle)

Machine wash with cold water. Air dry. I do this for everything, pads, gloves, pants, and jersey.

I dump mine in the bathtub, fill it and take a bottle of dish-washing soap and pour some in the tub under the spout. I usually leave it in there for the whole day, then air dry around the tub or use a blow-dryer. Works perfectly for all my gear: DYE Elbow Pads, NXe Harness, NXe Tank Cover, NXe Barrel Condom, Squeegee, Mask, Gloves.

pants and jersey go in the washer... gloves too if I remember.

The pack might come in the shower with me, then air dry when I'm done.

OK thanks guys. Odd question... for washing machine, do I use fabric softener? I don't know how the chemicals may interact with some of the materials.

I put all my gear in the washer machine:

                              REDZ Jersey
                              REDZ Pants
                              DYE Gloves
                              REDZ Dimension Pack and Belt
DYE ATCs cleats (knock off the majority of the caked on dirt first)
                              REDZ tank cover
                              Barrel Cover

All this in on the lowest cycle, with regular detergent. Also DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTNER.

Then hang dry it, no using the dryer!!
