go with the dm5. the proto is smaller but you can't upgrade the chip.(tadao is working on a new board for it though) the lpr is back up front and it doesn't have the on/off on the front for releasing air. it also doesn't come with the clamping feedneck or ultralght but you could buy those later. get the dm5 and put a masashi chip in it...OMG

oh yeah, the dm5 also comes with a roller trigger stock as well as the integrated rail

get the dm4. it is a better marker than the pm5. better looking, and running off a proven platform. trust me, it wont let you down

i'll be damned...you're right. the 5 through me off. i would still choose a dm4 over a proto for basically the same reasons. i love mine.

Depends really, do you NEED an on/off for your air? Do you need "special" chips or boards for your gun? Clamping necks are like 30 bucks and you have the option to get whatever barrel you want.

I've been told the proto kicks ***, but whatever.
