    AO and its cost

THis is curiosity, and I menioned it in another thread but I expect to get it buried (understandable). What does it take on a monthly basis to host AO money wise? Just curious

    i have no idea

on a side note, and i too know this was mentioned but might get lost in the clutter, why not do a paypal donation thing like pbn? this could be in addition to the banner ads which never bother me.

sounds fare to me ... and if pbn can get it done ... ao should have no problem doing it .. with all of the fans of mag's and the respect for tom.....

          here is what we need

someone has to start a thread with a voteing counter on it ....

          1 donations
2 listing fees... if ebay can get .35 cents on a basic auction .. i would pay that for a listing on ao
          3. monthly fee or
          4. one time payment of some sort

If I'm not mistaken Air Gun Designs owns AO

that means it's owned by a company, why on earth would you donate to a for-profit company?

if this was run as a not-for-profit, like out of somebodies basement cause they loved the sport, ok I can understand that, just go buy another mag and tell Tom you bought it because of AO

I only give money to one charity (DAV). I don't give money to anything else (other than cute kids selling stuff for school/school). I will gladly donate to keep AO alive.

There is already a thread on this in Friendly corner so lets keep it all in one thread.

And yes... Tom still owns AO. And yes...we will be considering and developing ways to keep AO alive through some sort of reorganizations and fund making method(s).

But lets keep it all in one thread. If need be I can move that thread over to talk. But that ones already matured and was first.
