I've been thinking of cutting the back part off of my Dye Sticky 3's so I don't have to take the rail/ASA off my Viking to change the battery. I'm wondering, has anyone done this before? Is it easy to do a nice clean job of cutting it?

i wouldnt do it..cause if you mess up,then you have some ugly grips..but its really easy if you want to try it..just use a REALLY sharp exacto knife. -

I did the same thing on my Viking.. I just put a slice down the middle of the back of the grip, so if I need to I can pull it open to get to the battery

I've done it on all my markers. Just get a pair of sharp scissors. You can see a clear line to follow where the hard plastic ends on each half. It's simple. If not take it to a local school and have the 5th grade art class cut it for you.Last edited by LeatherPants; 12-10-2004, 11:27 PM.Comment

Yeah you just need one clean cut down the back and you'll be able to slip the grips off the frame without having to take the rail off your gunComment
