Whats a good on/off for an Armageddon

I bought an Armageddon 4500 and wanted to know how to install an on/off or a quick release for taking air out of lines. Never used air america before.

    There are a few options:

    Slidecheck / QD combo
    Proconnect
Inline on/off valve (www.palmer-pursuit.com has them)

Also with a geddon you can just unscrew the tank from the reg.

I suggest just unscrewing the tank from the reg. If ya want another option, get the proconnect. Personally I think AA screwed up by not putting an on/off on the 'geddon's.

How does that on/off work? Can you still adjust the velocity?

Actually it is the velocity adjuster.

All it does is replaces the set screw. The on-off works simply by unscrewing the velocity until there is no air going to the gun. :)

Yea, it's no great piece of engineering, I only made them because I HATE screw in tanks and I use an Armageddon.

It bugs me to have to take off my tank cover and unscrew the tank for a quick repair or even to store my gun. For me it's a matter of convince. :)

Yeah, I'd thought about finding something like that before too, however I've always been told that using the pressure adjustment as an on/off will wear out the reg seat noticably faster.

So, I found myself one of these: Inline on/off

Probably overkill for my current set up cause I'm using a pro-connect too, but meh.

Also with this I can leave my output pressure set and not have to worry about it changing.

It wouldn't wear out any faster than it would if you unscrewed the tank when you wanted to shut the air off.
