    Senior Exit...or rather junior exit

Okay, this year my school system is being gay and making us write our senior exits as a Junior, and for those of you that do not know what a senior exit is, it is a huge chunk of a junior's grade.

I have decided to have my thesis about how the technological advancements in paintball over the past 30 years has improved the overall safety of paintball. I know that it has somewhat become unsafe with the ramping guns and all, but I think that I have more of an argument supporting my thesis. I figured that some people on here started paintball 20 or so years ago and can give me some info, because I cant find any. Im looking for like how the guns functioned (reliablity), what the actual first paintball was made of (the one that marked trees and cattle), and the equipment used then (if any, masks, ect...). It would be greatly appreciated for the sharing of your knowledge and you will be correctly credited in my paper.

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: I am not asking for you guys to write my paper, but I need sources and I need to know how paintball was played 20-30 years ago, so please do not flame me.

If this is a true thesis,

You are going to have a dam hard time corolating your varibles with the complete lack of injury data releated to paintball. You could write a paper on why paintball injuries are way under reported and compare paintball to other sports.

Length of exposeure has nothing to do with duration. How many folks played paintball in the last year? There have only been a handful of deaths and maybe a few 100 injuries. I am sure there are literaly thousands of incidents that happen ever weekend that go upreported simply becuase there is not a reporting mechinism in place.

^true ...but that also is true for almost every sport. all i am trying to prove is that when it first began there were no rules to fps. now according to rules you can not step on a field without chronoing your gun in. so in this example the chronograph is the technological advancement. The first paintball was made of actual paint (not sure but making an argument) and now out of non toxic substances. The gear now is padded more possibly eliminating a chance of a hernia ( i know i am pushing it, work with me). The masks are now used of better materials, if they even played with them. All i am giving is the cold hard facts, any one who is reading my paper will not know there are exceptions to it, because lets face it, there are deveations to everything; nothing is perfect. btw, does shooting with co2 harm people in any way.

I am not sure how in dpeth you need to get, but I dont see your statistical section adding up. My bet is that you can not prove stastical signfigance bewteen paintball injuries and better protective equipment given past data.

tough project, I suggest something else and something hella easier.

they are right u really cant say that better safety equi[ment ahs prevented injuries. The main reason is my coach has been playign for like 20 years and he remember when paintball couldnt go above 230 fps because of 12g co2. Also im a ref at a local field and any injuries that happen today are due to stupidity. the deaths are usually caused by owner error such as not replaceing a valve correctly. But GL with ur paper and hope u find the stats your loocking for
