    mech loader ideas!

ok i already made a loader that had a pipe with a spring in it that pushed paintballs. it actually worked descent, up to 15 bps. i am wondering what other ideas people have. keep it in in a reasonable range. and dont say make a q loader. so what are some ideas?

I'll give you an idea that you can work on.

          1. Build me a backpack loader that can hold 1000 balls.
          2. To load, the balls can be dumped into the backpack in no particular fashion.
          3. Can feed atleast 20bps reliably.
          4. Under normal playing conditions, none of the balls in the system will break. (This means, running, diving, jumping, and being hit by a paintball)
          5. Cost less than $150 to produce.

ok i have an idea. it does NOT hold 1000 balls as muzicman requested. it will hold about 80, which is ok for me because i dont shoot 1000 balls a game. 80 is about right for me. so anyway i have a 100 round pod nad im pack springs into the back of it and put a cover over the springs. some people may think:"why doesnt it hold 100 if its a 100 ball pod"? because the springs take up room. the springs will push the balls to the front of the pod where i will have some sort of hole to let the balls pour into my feeedneck through a hose. so what are some ideas of how to construct a hole so the balls go from the pod to the hose without jamming often? being that balls ar being crammed into a hole. so what are yor ideas?

Got one that's a simple Dremel mod, but needs some sort of exposed cocking knob. Not very fast at all, but better than shaking.

                Ingredients:
                Standard hopper
                Heavy duty rubber band
Fender washer (small ID, big OD)
                Small keyring
Heavy string (needs to be non-stretchy)
A large coin (a quarter works, but a 50c or Can Loonie/Twonie is better)
                A dremel tool

Stick the hopper on your gun and attach one end of your string to the cocking knob of your gun. Pull the other end up to the front of your loader. Find an angle that puts the string entering the hopper .5-1" behind the feedneck, but goes as far forward as possible at the top. Mark a spot on the top and bottom of the hopper along the line you've found at the center if it's a CF gun or a bit askew if it's elbow-fed.

Drill holes with the Dremel at these spots and a hole in the center of the coin.

Thread the rubber band through the top hole, attach the washer outside the loader and use the keyring to secure it. Tie one end of the string to the rubber band on the inside. Thread the coin so it sits against the knot and tie another knot below it. Now thread the string through the bottom hole.

Cock the gun and tie the string to the cocking knob so that the coin sits about 1/4" off the bottom of the loader shell. Trim off the excess.

The knob reciprocating will drag the coin back and forth, agitating the paint. Like I said, it's no Halo, but if you've got a friend who wants to make the most of playing on the cheap, it'll keep you from jamming completely.

                Muahahaha

if i get anything good i will. i am goingto(i think)post pics of one of my other loaders i made. its a spring loader, it holds 20 balls and can feed at about 15 bps. if i can ill post some pics of that mod nad some of the mod im working on now. i know that the mod im making now wont work as well being that the balls arent in single lines to begin with. my other mod, the balls were "pre-line."
