Problem with my hyrdo date label

Well, I was going to sell my dynaflow for a screw in, not sure I can now. There was lots of sticky goo around the hydro date label, so I got out some nail polish remover to get it off. Well I do it, and bam, no more label . The date stayed on, but the whole label basically disappeared. It is a 10-03 rehydro. That little green ring around it have a bunch of DOT numbers and have 03 punched out on the year and 10 on the month. Am I still going to be able to sell this?

You should never put any cleaning solution on a tank. It can eat the resin coating.

              Get it rehydroed.

Meh, might as well. Team just got 3 new tanks so it shouldn't be a big deal.

From the picture it looks like it DID eat into the resin.

DON'T use random cleaners on composite HP tanks! Who knows what damage you've done or how long it will take to manifest.

I've seen plastic parts explode under spring pressure when someone used some cleaner days previously...

All that sticky stuff isn't the tank resin. I'm thinking it was the cover to the hydro sticker and the previous owner scratched it off or something.

ok, bigger question- why do you have nail polish remover?

good answer, we also would have accepted- GF, wife, or you run a whore house.

                            thanks for playing.

but i think you shouldn't have a problem with the tank as long as it passes a hydro test.
