    apoc2k confusing me

i just got my apoc2k in the mail today. where do i fill it? there is a LP thingy and a HP thingy. which one do i fill it in? and how do i connect the tank to my gun, hose wise. i got a quick disconect. do i take the nipple off and put the quick disconnect on? also how do i change the output pressure? just give me a run down on the apoc2k.

          Ok,
The HP nipple is for filling the tank, it is the one closest to the tank
The Lp nipple is closer to the front of the reg (it is a QD nipple), and that is your output port.

To connect your QD, to the reg, you will need to remove the lp male qd nipple, and use a 90 degree elbow, then use the qd nipple to connect your qd female part (the part that has a slide on it), then hose to your AIR valve.

When first filling it, turn reg OFF, then fill to 2000psi or so, and connect everything up to your gun. then SLOWLY open the on/off and watch the output gauge and listen for leaks. if you want higher pressure the turn the adjuster in, or if you are looking at it from the front, clockwise. and counter clock wise to lower it. if at first it leaks, make sure it is adjusted past 200psi output.

When connecting the nipple and elbow to your reg, DO NOT USE TEFLON TAPE! use either blue loc-tite or red loc-tite. you only need 2 drops on the first 3 threads of the elbow and nipple, then install. Make sure the loc-tite is wicked all the way around the threads. DO NOT USE MORE THAN 3 DROPS OF LOC-TITE.

You seem sort of inexperianced, so i would suggest taking the apoc and your gun to your local proshop and see if they can help you set it up. If you do it yourself, take you time, and think things thru, if you have any problems, email me or call AA and ask for Ted, he can help you also. Tell him i sent you if you call!

Be carefull gettin that bottle filled. I have the Apoc 2k also.

I took mine in today and the moron tried to fill on the wrong nipple..

                PoP!!

lost the lp burst disk..didnt hurt the gauge thankfully..( I havent even played a game with it yet)

I'm working on finding an alternate quick disconect to put on it to prevent this from happening again.

get a "slide check" any decently stocked pro shop should carry them along with all the other air fittings, ect. You can just use a quick disconnect, but you're disconnecting the hose with several hundred psi still in the line, just do it slowly, but if you can get a slide check i would go with that over the qd.

i have a quick disconnect and it has air in the line and i blows off. a guy at air america told me to get a slide valve cause this is dangerous, the hose could whip me in the face or something. oh and are slide valves as the guy at air america called them the same as slide checks?

I'm ASSUMING they're the same as slide checks. Don't quote me on that.

I use a slide check for my Flatline system... and I reccomend them for anyone using any sort of on/off setup, be it on an adjustable tank or a screw-in with an on-off knob (i.e. the PsychoBallistics drop/ASA combo.)

so the slide check bleeds the air out of the line to your gun, right?
