super bolt problem need toms instructions

my super bolt broke it cracked near the end and the end shot out I did not get a chance to try any of the partial fixes so I can't say if they work or not I talked to Jon at the tech department and he said to post hear and Tom shuold tell me what I need to do toget it fixed.

is it just me or is every superbolt breaking or cracking problem happening with the Freak system?

Not every superbolt is cracking. And the last person who said the bolt broke and shot out of the gun was a liar.

Riotz... the bolt cracked but the center did not fly out... the problem with the superbolts right now are that the plastic sleeves are cracking and/or going out of the barrel...

I know the sleeves crack, but not the bolt itself. People read what he typed and get worried. It's not good.

what i was thinking is that every post that Ive heard about a boltsleeve cracking was when they were also using the freak system. Thats just 3 or 4 that Ive heard. But all of them used the freak.

I was using the stock AGD barrel.

the bolt sleeve cracked and the end plastic only left the end of the barrel I did not see it leave the barrel but it must have because I started breaking paint and when I took it apart I saw the sleeve had cracked and the end of the sleeve was gone it was my first time useing the freak with it I put about 1500 rounds through it with a CP problem free I understand your concerns about the truth thats it I am severly bothered that someone would lie about something so serious thanks for responding so quikly tom.

Thanks for clearing it up. The bolt cracking and the sleeve cracking are too differnt things.


You probally already saw this, but there are some possible fixes for this problem

It seems you need a new sleeve now though.

probably a stupid question, but were you using the plastic nubbins or the wire nubbins, i remember seeing a pic from ROBAGD with a meesed up superbolt and a wire nubbin

The small delrin cupped face is breaking off on some of them. That's the only thing that can break off and come out the end of the barrel and there's no way it can gain any velocity to actually fly out of the barrel and hit anything.
