I believe the original intention of the pneumatic frames was to have electro speed without having to deal with SP. Alas, we have/had a lawsuit over the mech frame. Such a shame, such a shame.
Irony about pneumatic frames

At least with the Pnuematic frames PTP cant go and put marker out of production. They would be the first to (mass) produce a frame like this. The only lawsuits that would occur would be for the frame to be liscensed out.Hey, look at that! It's Santa!

You know I was wondering.... you know how PTP said that they are keeping the patent on the pneu trigger. Well they said that there may never be a Mag version of the thing. So if the HAir trigger was developed for mags (correct me if I'm wrong) then why keep a patent on something that you'll never use. Thats very Smart Parts of them ( I mean that in the most derogetory way I can

This thread and all posts are worthless.
There's a difference between what SP is doing, and what PTP is doing.

Which begs the question: could Deadly Wind work out a licensing agreement with PTP in order to produce their own version? And what would be a reasonable, per unit, licensing scheme? At least with the Pnuematic frames PTP cant go and put marker out of production. this leads me to ask that if AGD made an entire marker based on the pnuematics, would they still be infringing on the patent? i don't know much (if anyting about copywrite laws) cause PTP has the property rights on the frame correct? so what's stopping somone from making a marker with similar technology?Originally posted by WenULiVeUdiEAt least with the Pnuematic frames PTP cant go and put marker out of production. Because some of the people who would purchase the 'mag version will purchase one for a different marker. If they "give away" the right to produce it for a 'mag then they lose business. How much business is debatable.Originally posted by NewMagMan21Well they said that there might never be a Mag version of the thing. If people want to still talk about this let them. There are plenty of other threads for you to post in.

what PTP is doing is far different than what SP did, and also part of the reason for a pneu frame is no batteries, no fried boards and no possibilty of cheater boards.
...except for the fact that they arent cocker parts, theyre parts used in cockers. all the parts utilized in this frame were around far before cockers were, and they are used in different markers. a "cocker" part would be something unique to it, such as a backblock, just as a "mag" part would be the valve, not a frame screw.Originally posted by skifeyou know, all this fighting over the use of cocker parts in a mag :P
yes, they would. someone would have to be an idiot to write a patent to apply only to a single, seperate frame. it is probably written to cover any pneumatic sear triggering mechanism; actually, its probably even broader. so yes, they would be infringing on the patent.Originally posted by GodLovesUglythis leads me to ask that if AGD made an entire marker based on the pnuematics, would they still be infringing on the patent? i don't know much (if anyting about copywrite laws) cause PTP has the property rights on the frame correct? so what's stopping somone from making a marker with similar technology?
since from what ive heard PTP wants to make the cocker version first, and it may be a year wait or they may never even make a mag frame, I would like to see PTP liscence the frame to DW.Comment
you know whats really ironic, as well as hypocritcal?!
the fact that some of the same people that complain about why someone would need to shoot 30 bps are some of the same people that complained when the hair was cancelled. they want electro speeds, but why since they do nothing but knock the need for that speed........
