    Is this a Max Flow?

It is posted as: Paintball Max Flow smart parts 68ci 4500psi
Used 68ci 4500psi max flow smart parts tank dated 03-02 it is a 5 year tank so good for a few more year. Every thing is in working order, got it in on a trade. It has normal wear from playing but nothing major.

I emailed him about it and he said it was adjustable. Im just not sure if it really is a max flow, and if its worth $150, and what i want it for is so i can get bounce on my RT, around 900-1000 psi. Any info or opinion would be especially helpful, or suggestions on what to ask the seller. Thank you so much

That definitely looks to be a maxflow, but I do not know if they can be adjsuted that high.

yes thats a maxflo. and no its not worth 150....i'm willing to wager its worth more like 200 or 250. but if its a high flow reg, you should be able to get the output pressure to 1000 psi

          Hey Bro

Yes it is a Max-Flo and Yes it is adjustable, I would ask as well if it is high pressure or low pressure. You need high pressure for your mag.

But one major question I would be asking because of the price is the name he got it from and contact him because that is cheap for a max-flo.Might be stolen.

Good deal if everything is good though. Looks like a fairly new one.

Yep that's a manifold Max-Flo. They come wither with a high/mid pressure setup (just a spring change) but if its a low pressure system (150-300psi) its got a different bottom half. The high pressure spring runs up to about 1100 psi or so and down to about 600 psi.

This is what the seller said:
There is only two springs made for the max flow low maxing out 250-300psi i think. The other is a high pressure spring going I think 850-900psi. So this is a high pressure spring, you can buy another spring from smartpart for about $5
              Thanks,

ok so even if it is low pressure, i can change the spring out to make it high pressure?

by the way you guys are awesome, thanks for all the help

                  Yes,
all you need is a spring at most.
Actually, 150 may not be too far out of line, I just paid $147 on ebay for one that is identical to the one you pictured.
Smart parts has come out with their "inline" maxflo, and this style has taken a price hit.
If this tank/reg is in good condition, it is a great buy and you should be able to turn it around and lose nothing if you don't like it.
BTW, the fact that the tank is pictured with steel braid really makes one think that it has the high pressure spring in it.
                  good luck

He said he tested it at 500 psi output pressure, so i dont know if that tells wether it is high or low? I will probly buy it now, thanks for your help.

those arent bad but i recoomend a nitroduck adjustable...i just bought one for 190 brand new, i think retail is like 230ish, would be much better deal than getting an old maxflo

It is a Max-flo regulator of the second generation that took 4500...technically it is a 3rd gen model due to the rail and colours. Now unless Smart Parts switched things about the presence of the over pressure relief valve says it is a LP output...the kit to swap to HP should also include a blanking plug for the relief valve so it isn't just a case of swapping the spring since the regulator will vent if the relief valve is still in place at HP...again this is certainly the case for the new versions and other than a size reduction the design hasn't really changed so this concept shouldn't have changed either.
