About 90 % of my shirtsthat i wear are paintball related..and i do not see many paintballers since this is chicago and after all and it is illiga herel...

...it is hard to tell if we have a style since it is rare to have a group of players around each other constantly to create some sort of culture...

I wear puma shoes...anyone else? (most of my firends that play pb have pumas so that is all i can think of)
    Alias Intimidator (Black)
    DiRtY PiCs... ;)

    I throw bombs...well not really...

Until it was stolen last year, my favorite shirt was my Animal Paintball Voodoo jersey, complete with neon green skeleton and flames. It was so soft and smooth, and the integrated elbow pads were easier on my arms while sleeping propped up on a desk at school. Sigh... I miss that shirt.

this is a great thread, a lot of good posts. and some paintballers do wear casual paintball clothes off the field, i met a few kids at my school that ball because i saw one of them wearing a "we kill suckers" shirt. the only thing i can really think of is that paintballers will walk anything with a light trigger, like a mouse, or just walk on a desk, etc. paintball hasnt been around THAT long, it... somewhat has a culture, but its developing.

I mostly wear PB/band t shirts, and PB pants (like dye jeans etc) or abercrombie jeans.
I wear louis vuitton shoes, or empire shoes.

Any "accessories" I wear are PB related.

You now know how I dress.

i would wear paintball clothes but they are not easily obtainable. there is one field in pensacola and one pro shop at the same location. both suck. the pro shop has nothing in it just a few drops, timmy parts, and imp parts. i would buy off the internet, but thats a little sketchy with clothes. i wont wear paintball pants because on average they cost 60-70 bucks a pair. screw that, thats a day of play. there arent many pb companys out ther that make jeans or shoes either. i find its fairly acceptable though as a pb player to wear skate clothes, because most decent shops sell skate boards and clothes along with pb gear. i am thinking about picking up some shirts on line with my next big upgrade. other than that, there arent many options out there yet.

              enough said i think....

PB does borrow from the casual clothing of teh current "skate" scene...

to run against what tyger said.... just because we dont all decide to wear silver neoprene jumpsuits doesnt mean that we arent "different"... there are few groups today taht have a style that is an original and all their own... the fact that we assimilate several groups in a certain way sets us apart from other who cannot combine those styles in their cultures...

I think we should try and bring back the bandana around the neck both on and off the field!!... that will be the day..

Yea, I have to agree with Tyger that its a melting pot of styles. For example, I go to a field in the somewhat urban area of a "city" near me. All the guys there all dress like, I dunno, "thug" I guess you could call it. I for one wear skate shoes and baggy pants and such. Personally I would like to get more casual PB stuff, but alas, most of it is sold online. And IMO, I think that paintball brand casual pants and stuff are a rip off.

Some good paintball clothing places include:

www.killaclothing.com (redoing some things right now; can't get the shirts)
                        www.sirepaintball.com (the BEST)

Those are just a few of the many AWESOME places to get PB clothing and accessories, among other things.

i agree with the walking everything that clicks. i walk my mouse, doorbells, anything with a trigger(bar code scanners at work). just last night i was walking my game cube controller in one of those mario party minigames.

i do it out of habbit, and have seen other do it... its kinda funny... i've seen some paintballers that have odd styles of looking through crowds and places with viewing obstacles... they kinda step and twitch from side to side to get an total view of "the field"... they dont really linger their heads out in the "open" for too long when they're looking for/at something.

one other thing about physical paintball culture/mannerisms is the blocking paint with the hands thing... i sometimes find myself walking thru crowds with one hand up in that "off the break" position to "block incomming paint" from my "mask"... this sport messes with your head.

i notice that the people that give the best directions are accomplished tournament paintballers.... "grocery store, left side of the street, down a mile and a half, green building, entrance on the left...." kinda a mechanical creepyness to the way they address communication in "pressure" situations.

of and more thing.... i notice this in myself, and in others... the "ducking/dodging" reflex is somewhat muted in paintballers cause they know that paintballs are inheirantly innacurate and they wont be hit on the first shot... lol... not a good one off teh field i might add.

thats what i notice.. you gotta be observant about it i guess, but thats what we all are, its part of our game/culture.

ahhhh hees so right and we/i/paint ball players just walk stuff like ill pick up a pencil or somthing and just start walking it and kind of do a greeting that looks like the blocking paint with the hand thing and i look evry where with my hear first and just like kinda snap back wow well now i KNOW its not just me that does it

I wear my jt pb pants as shorts to school in the summer (zip off leg ones) i got a few shirts. mostly what sets the paintballers at school apart is our lockers or covered in pictures adn posters and what not and we all know each other and talk like we are playing and we all are really twitchy and if some one throws something we all duck and try and shoot back (bring up our hands like we got our gun in them) and we also try and walk anything that is walkable pens, pencils, mouse, any thing really.
