Also, if I were to use Cordura I would be limited in the fabric colors and designs that I could use. I am also not a huge company that could get materials made FOR me.

It depends on the material. But most if not similar.

ADDED:
Some of the materials will cause me to do some alterations in construction to make up for the thinness of the material, but I am sure I can come up with a suitable solution. All of the camo patterns are NO problem though, as well as many solid colors and even some patterned materials. I will be searching for new super thick patterned materials specifically for these pants.
